Sílvia Xicola

I am a language tutor and translator, living between England and Catalonia, where I studied Illustration and joined Urban Sketchers in 2012.

I have participated in group and solo exhibitions as well as in the 4th International Urban Sketchers Symposium as a member of the organising committee. I was a finalist in the 1st competition of urban sketching organised by FNAC in Barcelona. I also take every opportunity to travel and portray other places.

I love drawing and painting life, light and movement in a realistic style by using mixed media and watercolours. Barcelona and the Mediterranean light are an essential influence on my work.
